Through two practical workshops based on real-world cases, we will demonstrate how to align ESG risk assessment with corporate strategy and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, we will explore how companies can work closely with their suppliers to conduct efficient audits, properly address findings, complete the cycle of continuous improvement, and identify practical and sustainable solutions that the supplier can implement.
Workshop 1: Human rights risk assessment integrated into business management
How to align risk assessment with corporate strategy and regulatory requirements
In this workshop, we analysde how to develop a human rights risk assessment that meets the requirements of the current regulatory framework — with particular attention to the CSRD criteria — whilst also integrating coherently into each organisation’s enterprise risk management (ERM) model.
We took a practical approach to connecting this analysis with the assessment required by the CSRD, avoiding duplication and ensuring that both frameworks are compatible. The aim is for human rights risk assessment to cease being an isolated compliance exercise and become a genuine management tool: one that impacts governance, internal controls, decision-making and corporate reporting.
Workshop 2: Efficient supplier audits
How to turn findings into real improvements and close the continuous improvement cycle
In this workshop, we take a practical approach to how companies can collaborate effectively with their suppliers to carry out efficient audits: from identifying and correctly resolving findings to fully closing the continuous improvement cycle, identifying solutions that are both viable and sustainable for the supplier.
We work on a real-life case study in which we apply the methodology to define prioritisation criteria and translate the results into specific processes and responsibilities within the organisation. The aim is for the audit to cease being perceived as an end in itself and become a genuine driver of improvement within the value chain.
